Hello! My name is Samet (Sam) Uyar. I was born and raised in a small town in Balikesir, Turkey. My family moved to Ontario, Canada in 2001, and we relocated to Calgary in 2004. I went to Central Memorial High School and graduated from University of Calgary majoring in Communications. I consider myself a Calgarian having lived here most of my life and love giving back to the community.

I got married in 2020, and my lovely wife and I have a newborn. I love playing soccer and basketball (although I am not as good as I used to be) and I enjoy watching and following my favourite sports teams.
