Unfortunately, after 2 weeks ago I have been in Sherwood Park office but till today I have not receive the quote promissed to arive the same day. It was car and home insurance I was asking to receive to obtain the quote for.

Yesterday, I was hung up on 5 times while trying to get in contact with someone who could answer my questions about my policy renewal adequately. I was trying to discuss a claim made against me that wasn’t properly investigated (I wasn’t contacted about it at all) and no one could direct my call to the proper line. I had previously tried calling in May to ask about it and was told to “wait for my policy renewal” to see how much my insurance would be increasing by, and what the claim made against me was. I have received no contact from Allstate since May, and with my policy renewal coming up, I don’t think I want to renew it with them. There were so many hoops to jump through and calls to make, and there has still been no resolution or answered questions. I think I will be getting in contact with the IBC to see what steps I can take next because this is reprehensible.

Like many of the reviews here, my experience with Allstate over the last couple years has been less than satisfactory (prior to that, my overall experience would have garnered at least 4 stars, if not 5), to say the least. The primary issue I'm seeing with all the reviews here is not the reviews, but rather Allstate's responses to those reviews, ie. Allstate further seeking their customers' time and energy into attempting further contact with Allstate when they have already evidently spent a lot of time trying to get through to Allstate with little to no success. Instead, Allstate should show some courtesy and empathy by reaching out to their customers to try to resolve any issues their customers - many of them longstanding customers like myself - might be experiencing with Allstate, which would engender some goodwill by Allstate to show their customers they are sincere and interested in more than simply collecting payments on premium notices which are often mailed out too late (eg. I received a premium notice with a September 8 due date, on September 13), or not at all, or with payment due dates that simply say "NOW". Allstate, unfortunately, is not alone in this practice, and I could name many other companies that throw up their hands and abandon all effort in resolving customer issues if those issues don't fall within the purview of the limited checklist seemingly handed out to the hapless people having to take calls from customers. All the effort is placed on the customers to email or call, email or call again, and again email or call back to find resolution to their issues. Most of which don't receive a response, aside from auto-responses like, "We are changing how we handle our incoming emails to better serve you and responses may take up to 3 business days". Again, serving customers better would mean QUICKER responses whether by email, telephone or otherwise. I hope Allstate reviews these suggestions and takes them to heart, without having to further involve the valuable time of its customers to do the work on Allstate's behalf. For the record, I have contacted the local agency in writing (as well as by telephone), and received an auto-response. I am not holding my breath for a timely response.
