Not bad rates and easy to talk to ... until you actually need what you paid for. I opened a claim for my roof leak 4 months ago and still no work has been started to repair damages. Claims department is a joke they can't help you all they can do is email the adjustor office in of course Ontario at hopes I would get some response from the adjustor and i end up waiting 3 weeks or longer for a response that gets me nowhere. All that's needed is an estimate but my now 2nd adjustor can't figure it out. I've tried calling their office 6 times now and I get told " Your adjustor is busy I can't help so I'll leave a note " then I never hear back. I'm ready to pull my house and vehicles from Allstate .

Great until you actually use them. Sure they paid out my claim, but come renewal they dropped me because of the claim. Before filing the claim I asked if they were any risks with doing so, and was only advised my rates could increase. I was completely blindsided blindsided to the possibility that they'd drop me for using what I pay for. They aren't even interested in what measures I've taken to prevent further incident. I now have to disclosed an insurer refused to renew and go through the headache of finding a new insurer with that black mark.
