James Douglas

My name is James Douglas, and I am an Insurance Agent with Allstate. I am proud to be a part of the Whitby Allstate team, and I am very eager to help you with your insurance needs. I have been working in the Insurance Industry since 2022, and I am very happy with how my career allows me assist clients in a complicated process. I’ve been in sales and the tech and communications industry in Canada since 2015, working with technical products. Insurance has been a very interesting switch as there is much to learn, and I decided to further my education by obtaining my level 1 insurance license.

I have lived in Ontario my entire life - from growing up in Mississauga and spending summers in Haliburton, to buying my first home in the GTA. In my spare time, I enjoy doing outdoor activities such as snowboarding, hiking, and going out on walks with my dog for hours. In the summer, I also enjoy long trail rides with my wife.

Starting in Insurance, I was clueless about what any coverages meant - I just knew it was mandatory. I am thrilled that I have the ability to provide my knowledge about insurance to my clients because I personally know how hard it can be to navigate everything the industry has. I want to be the one to make the difference to you by taking time, and helping you understand coverages. Insurance is always going to be around, and it will always be a need, so why not take time to learn about the products you are purchasing and feel confident in knowing what you are covered for.
